A violin that loves musical versatility

01- 06 - 2015

Antonio Seijo still remembers how Bonnie Tyler adapted her repertoire to her voice or how Julio Iglesias longed to have the power to not have a birthday.

They were artists with whom he shared the stage, “with their lights and their shadows, but human beings after all”.
After being Milladoiro's violin, cruising half the planet and playing "The Four Seasons" in Greenland to taste the best Norwegian salmon in Bergen, the musician arrives at the Colón Theater on Friday accompanied by Skylight to review the best of pop from the 80s and 90s in an instrumental version.
Spectators will thus enjoy an evening at 9:00 pm where "Let it be" or "I'll survive" will be played with the beat of bass, guitar, drums, keyboards and violin: "They are mythical themes", which will break the barrier between the artist and armchair.
After a long time without performing in the city, Seijo will offer one hour of show with his band to alternate a second with songs by the bagpiper Óscar Ibáñez, the singer Diana Tarín, who surprised in the program “La Voz”, and the Menage à formation trois, in which a nephew also plays a violinist and who will perform four songs. In all this time, the artist values the versatility of music, which shelters many styles and registers.
For this reason, he does not renounce to stroll through pop, to reach folk or to play the most classical as when he was the only one of his kind of Spanish nationality who sailed the seas aboard ocean liners, which in addition to making him love his profession even more they brought different cultures closer together. From all of them the repertoire that he now chews became enriched and fattened.
The public now has the opportunity to see it live and teleport in time with the hits of Julio Iglesias, Tom Jones or La Unión. His “Tribute to pop” will be fused with the bagpipes and the vocal torrent of Tarín, in a heads up with Skylight, where the Menage à Trois will also have something to say.
